Timber Claim Trust

The Ginoogaming First Nation Timber Claim Trust was established in April of 2002, following negotiations and an agreement between Ginoogaming First Nation and the Government of Canada for compensation resulting from illegal taking of timber on Long Lake Reserve #77.

Youth Program

We have 58 youth attending school. 21 attend Marjorie Mills public school, 18 attend Our Lady of Fatima and 19 attend the high school in Geraldton, Geraldton Composite High School. This year’s summer placement was at an all time high according to Ginoogaming First Nations employment records. More than 40% of our Youth or currently employed by Ginoogaming First Nation Band.

River Road and Bridge

The Making Ground River Crossing is a bridge and roadway replacement project. This project is designed to reduce congestion and improve safety issues. The bridge is in such advanced state of deterioation that a complete replacement is required.
